Delete your account
- Sign in at app.socialcobalt.com.
- Open Settings, then Global Settings.
- Under Delete Account, choose Delete your account and confirm.
Your subscription is cancelled and you are signed out. If you are the owner of a workspace, the whole workspace is deleted. If you are a team member in someone else's workspace, you are removed from it and the workspace stays with its owner.
What gets deleted
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Posts, captions, titles and scheduling settings | Erased right away. Scheduled posts do not go out. |
| Videos and images you uploaded | Files removed from our storage right away. |
| Comments, tags, sets, signatures, webhooks, notifications | Erased right away. |
| Connected channels | Disconnected. Their access keys are destroyed. |
| Password, IP address, browser data, profile picture | Erased right away. |
| Email address, name, workspace name, channel identifiers | Replaced with one-way codes that do not reveal the original. See what we keep. |
| Backups | Overwritten within 30 days. |
Posts that a network already published stay on that network. Delete them there if you want them gone.
Can't sign in?
Write to [email protected] from the email address of the account, with the subject Delete my account. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete it within 15 days and confirm by email.
Remove one channel
To stop SocialCobalt from using one channel without deleting your account, open the channel's menu in the channel list, choose Delete Channel and confirm. Its scheduled posts are removed with it and its access keys are no longer used. To pause a channel instead, choose Disable Channel.
Revoke access on a network
You can also remove SocialCobalt's access directly on each network. This works even if you no longer have a SocialCobalt account.
- YouTube and Google: open the Google security settings page, choose SocialCobalt and remove access.
- TikTok: in the TikTok app, go to Settings and privacy, Security, Apps and services, choose SocialCobalt and remove access.
- Instagram: go to Settings, Website permissions, Apps and websites, choose SocialCobalt and remove it.
To ask us to delete the data we received from Instagram or another network, delete your account as described above, or write to [email protected] with the subject Delete my data and the username of the account. We confirm by email once it is done, within 15 days.
What we keep
- One-way codes of your email, name and channel identifiers. They let us recognize the same channel if it is connected again, so the same channel can't be used to open many trial accounts. They do not reveal the original values.
- Billing and tax records, for as long as tax law requires.
- Empty records with only identifiers and dates, so the service keeps working for other people. They hold no content.
